Dr. C.L. Yeap graduated from the University of Malaya with MBBS and Master of Surgery degrees and then completed a Senior Clinical Fellowship Training in Advanced Upper GI Surgery at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland. He also holds a fellowship award from the Royal College of Edinburgh and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Yeap specialises in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery also known as Keyhole or Laparoscopic Surgery in Oesophageal, Stomach, and Bowel Cancer, Hernia, Gallbladder, Acid Reflux, Thyroid, and Haemorrhoid Surgery alongside Endoscopy and Weight-loss Surgery ( Bariatric/Metabolic Surgery). He is an accredited surgeon in Robotic Surgery and a Certified Console Surgeon for Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.
Dr. Yeap serves as an external examiner to the National Conjoint Board for the Master of Surgery Examination and was previously a senior lecturer at the University of Malaya. Dr. Yeap is a Board-Certified Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgeon and General Surgeon registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and National Specialist Registry (NSR).
